RICH JONES

Founder / off-piste ski guide and adventure specialist

With over 20 years of professional experience in the Alps and a lifetime chasing powder, Rich Jones is a true off-piste expert. A BASI Level 4 ISTD instructor with the coveted French Carte Professionnelle, Rich specialises in off-piste skiing and ski touring, combining technical coaching with real-world mountain sense.

Raised on the slopes of Val d’Isère and the Tarentaise Valley—where he’s been exploring off-piste terrain for over 35 years—Rich now calls the region home, living in the valley with his wife and two young daughters (both already on skis, naturally). A dedicated family man with a grown-up approach to mountain risk, his guiding style blends calm confidence with sharp decision-making and a relentless eye on safety, snow conditions, and group dynamics.

Rich brings more than qualifications to the table—he brings a passion for adventure that’s taken him (and his clients) well beyond the Alps. From boat-based ski touring in the Norwegian fjords to cat skiing in Macedonia and yurt-to-yurt expeditions in Kyrgyzstan, he curates unforgettable backcountry experiences with professionalism and a spirit of exploration.

When he’s not finding untouched lines or coaching clients through technical terrain, you might find Rich chasing waves—he’s just as passionate about surfing, travel, and the great outdoors.

Whether you’re looking to push your limits or simply enjoy a day in the wild with someone who knows the mountains inside out, Rich brings the expertise, enthusiasm, and experience to make it happen—always with a smile and a plan.
